A Tribute to My Mr. Right... on our 3rd Anniversary!!
This is a public declaration of my true love and dedication to the most amazing person in my life... my hubby Daniel Peck!
3 years ago we were married on a beautiful, hot July day. It was my dream wedding, despite falling on the floor at the end of our "first dance"... life is always interesting and surprising with Dan! The good thing is that he is there to pick me up when I fall, not just on the dance floor!
I will never forget the incredible, joyful, somewhat nerve-wracking feeling of knowing that I was now married and would be a part of his life forever. People ask us all the time why we got married so young. No, we weren't pregnant, and we weren't crazy either. We were two young people so much in love and desperately wanting to follow God's will for our lives... together. Why wait?! I wanted to be there with Daniel to help him through his last year of college, and he wanted to be with me as I pursued my career in teaching dance. Not to mention we were getting tired of those long distance dates! We married young on a leap of faith... and I am so amazed and thankful for how God has blessed us in the past 3 years as a result.
With the support of family, friends, and trust in God, our young marriage has not only "worked", but it has flourished! It has truly been an adventure so far, through many hard, easy, good and bad times. Right now we are in the midst of one of our harder times, and yet God is there, and it's so clear to see He provides for our every need. I give Him all the glory, and a lot of thanks to my husband as well, especially for keeping me sane and calming me down when I am anxious! He always reminds me of Matthew chapter 6... if you haven't read it, check it out.
So Daniel, I know posting this on facebook is a little out of the ordinary, but I just can't help but want to shout to the world "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DANNY J!" Just know how much I love and appreciate you. I thank God for bringing me a man who truly compliments and understands me... you are my Mr. Right. I look forward to spending 3 - to the fourth power - more years with you (God willing!). See, I do still know some math!!
